MANAGING MOTHER'S DAY

Mother’s Day is fast approaching here and for many of us, it is not the day we had in our minds when we knew we were going to be parents. The dreams of breakfast in bed with smiling faces eager for us to open our gifts are the opposite of reality. To be honest, Mother’s Day fills some of us with dread.


The media hype is extraordinary, and for those that are caring for children from trauma, it is so important to feel validated and loved that we sometimes cannot help but really invest our hopes in this day.
