NATP exists to promote better outcomes for children who have suffered early life trauma by significantly improving the consistency and quality of support available to all Parents, regardless of whether they are Foster Parents, Adopters, Kinship Carers, Special Guardians, Step Parents, or Birth parents.

Listening Circle Coordinators

The role of a Listening Circle Coordinator is to facilitate regular Listening Circles as support groups for current members of NATP.

A Listening Circle Coordinator does not need to be an expert; we have a firm network of support for all members to access if they need help and advice.

A Listening Circle Coordinator does need:

• Lived experience and understanding of Therapeutic

  Parenting principles and strategies

• Compassion

• Empathic Listening Skills

Listening Circles

Listening Circles are locally and virtually organised support groups that offer a safe and non-judgmental environment to share and offload with like-minded therapeutic parents.

The themes discussed at Listening Circles relate to Therapeutic Parenting strategies, solutions, challenges, and successes. Discussions empower parents and help in overcoming feelings of isolation and compassion fatigue.
