Going Into care

The social worker’s here again.

We’re going into care.

Jackie hates social workers,

Kevin starts to swear.

We don’t have time to pack.

She says ‘We must leave now,

The foster carer’s waiting’

I hate this ugly cow.

What does ‘foster carer’ mean?

I slump into the car.

Do the carers live nearby?

Are we travelling far?

Will I go to school tomorrow?

I love the breakfast club.

Where will I sleep tonight?

Jackie’ll be down the pub.

So many questions

Flying around my head.

Who will feed the dog?

What if he ends up dead?
