This is a ground breaking, approved course, for which we have contracted Gerard O’Dea from Dynamis Training & Insight who is an excellent, highly skilled trainer whose ethos and values merge closely with Therapeutic Parenting.

About The Event
Inspire Training Group will deliver the first day which will be focussed around de-escalation strategies and avoiding conflict.
Day two will be delivered by Gerard O’Dea and will focus on practical training, conflict management for those times when contact is unavoidable due to high risk actions and danger to others.
Course Aims:
To offer those who are parenting children who sometimes display violence which could result in harm to themselves or others. A law and guidance-based decision-making framework, along with specific last-resort physical control options (and their working principles), which would allow them to create physical and emotional safety in situations where otherwise a child or carer would be more significantly harmed or injured.

Terms, Conditions and Useful Information for NATP Training
1. All course fees must be paid in full prior to the training.
2. Any cancellations within 2 months prior to any training will not be refunded.
3. If a person’s NATP membership runs out prior to a course taking place and they have purchased a ticket at the members rate, they will be contacted to either renew their membership or to pay the non-members fee. Anyone that does not do this will lose their space on the course and will not be refunded the course fee.
4. If a person is looking to have any courses paid for/reimbursed by a funding agency, please contact NATP first to be suitably advised on which courses can be funded so this does not lead to disappointment or loss of spaces.
5. If an attendee on a training day needs to leave early for any reason, NATP does not accept responsibility for course material being missed.
6. After a course has taken place, if any attendees want any information on material covered during a course or to be certificated for the course they have attended, please contact Rosie at rosie.natp@gmail.com

NATP Members
Membership status will be checked upon arrival at event. Non NATP members who are found to have mistakenly purchased an NATP Member ticket will be asked to pay the difference. We reserve the right to refuse entry to the event if this is not paid, without refund.
